JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY: Responsible for the providing rejuvenating and relaxing massages to clients.

A friendly therapeutic environment in the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains is seeking an eager, self-motivated licensed massage therapist to join our team of professionals.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provide consistent professional massage and body treatment in accordance with office protocols and accepted certification practices
• Ensure client comfort in a luxury spa setting
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Time management abilities
• Demonstrated sales and customer service skills
• Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law
• Must have genuine interest in helping clients achieve wellness
• Practice necessary precautions while working with clients
• Ability to complete several treatments per shift
• Great listening skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training and Experience Guidelines:

1. Completion of training program in massage therapy.
2. State licensure through the Department of Nursing.
3. Must be at least 18 years old.

Knowledge of:

• Human anatomy

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess a valid massage therapy license

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

• Work is performed in an indoor climate controlled environment
• Incumbent wears prescribed personal equipment protection.
• Physical demands consist of standing for long periods of time
