Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Chicago
Starting Pay: $19.50/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM | Monday – Friday
Employment Type : Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled Forklift Operator with experience operating reach trucks to join our warehouse team. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to safely and efficiently move materials and products within the facility.

Please note that the work environment is consistently hot, with temperatures ranging from 95&degree;F to 105&degree;F. All candidates must be fully aware of and comfortable working under these conditions.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate forklifts, including reach trucks, to load, unload, and move materials
2. Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse or production lines
3. Perform daily safety inspections on forklifts and report maintenance issues
4. Stack and organize materials to optimize storage space and maintain inventory accuracy
5. Assist with general labor tasks, including unloading 25kg blocks of butter into melters
6. Complete required paperwork and inventory documentation

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification or training as a Forklift Operator with specific experience.
• Proven experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Knowledge of forklift safety practices, operating procedures, and maintenance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory handling and movement.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet productivity goals.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as needed.
