An elementary school in Huntingdon, PA, is seeking a skilled Educational Interpreter (ASL) for a Kindergarten student who is fully deaf with cochlear implants. This 1:1 position requires working closely with the student to facilitate communication and support as they transition into elementary school. The student has prior experience with sign language through preschool early intervention and now needs dedicated interpretation services to succeed in the classroom.
Situated about 20 minutes from Penn State and roughly an hour from Harrisburg, this fully onsite role is a contract position lasting the entire school year. There is an experienced interpreter already onsite working 1:1 with a second-grade student who will be available for support and collaboration when needed.
