Our well-known online retail organization is seeking a Contract Creative Art Director to join an internal design excellence team focused on raising the bar for design quality, storytelling, and craft across the company. This is an on-site role based in Seattle, ideal for a highly conceptual creative who is also hands-on and execution-focused. From early ideation through launch, you will translate complex requirements, data, and constraints into compelling, customer-focused creative solutions. Youll own creative vision and execution across multiple initiatives, delivering polished, high-impact work while collaborating closely with cross-functional partners.
Responsibilities:
Concept, design, and art direct innovative creative for events, campaigns, and experiences
Lead creative workstreams from brief through final delivery
Partner with copywriters, designers, developers, program managers, strategists, and producers to deliver cohesive, customer-centric solutions
Create visual systems, campaign concepts, and scalable templates for events and experiences
Deliver work across multiple formats, including video, UI and digital experiences, presentations, event signage, and branded merchandise
Use data and insights to inform creative strategy and evaluate impact
Present creative concepts and design rationale to internal stakeholders
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing scope, timelines, and quality
Required Qualifications:
Strong conceptual thinking paired with exceptional design and art direction skills
Ability to define and deliver end-to-end experiences, from vision through execution
Proven experience designing across print, digital, web, experiential, and social channels
Deep customer empathy and a passion for work that delivers both innovation and results
Excellent storytelling, presentation, and time-management skills
Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment
Basic Qualifications
Experience as a conceptual Creative / Art Director at an agency and/or in-house team
Online portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, art direction, branding, and design excellence
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, and PowerPoint
Strong understanding of UX principles and user-centered design
Data-informed approach with a focus on measurable outcomes
Highly organized, collaborative, and detail-oriented
Self-starter who can manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and handle multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience collaborating with distributed teams across different time zones
Motion design or animation skills are a plus
