Job Description

A leading oil & gas company based in Houston, TX is looking for a talented Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on Acquisitions & Divestitures (A&D) projects while contributing to technical reservoir management across a growing portfolio of assets.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct reservoir engineering analysis to support A&D activities, including asset evaluations, performance assessments, and financial modeling.
• Perform reservoir simulations, forecasting, and economic evaluations to assist in acquisition and divestiture decisions.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Land, Geology, Finance) to integrate technical and financial insights into transaction processes.
• Develop and manage reservoir models, reserves estimates, and production forecasts for key assets.
• Provide technical input on well performance, optimization strategies, and long-term field development planning.
• Assist in generating technical presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skillset and experience:

• 5+ years of experience in reservoir engineering, with a focus on A&D or asset evaluation.
• Strong proficiency in reservoir simulation tools (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, or similar).
• Solid understanding of financial modeling, including NPV, IRR, and other key metrics for A&D projects.
• Expertise in reserves reporting, including use of Aries.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and cross-functional collaborations.
