About the Role

As a key contributor in the Additive Apparel team, you will play a critical role in transforming creative visions into tangible, groundbreaking products. This position is central to the evolution of apparel innovation, moving from component creation to the realization of full garments through advanced 3D printing. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between digital design and physical reality, driving forward the adoption of revolutionary manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

\n

  • Pioneering 3D Printing Operations: Expertly set up, calibrate, and operate advanced 3D printers specifically for apparel applications, ensuring optimal performance and precision.
\n* Process Oversight & Optimization: Continuously monitor printing processes, proactively troubleshoot any issues, and diligently maintain equipment to guarantee peak operational efficiency.
\n* Transformative Prototype Development: Drive the transformation of innovative creative concepts into production-ready solutions, translating intricate 2D designs into scalable 3D models and high-fidelity physical prototypes using state-of-the-art tools.
\n* Collaborative Innovation & Ideation: Act as a vital ideation thought partner, collaborating closely with design and concept design engineering teams to explore new possibilities and push creative boundaries.
\n* Problem-Solving & Research: Lead innovative problem-solving initiatives through rigorous iterative trials, sophisticated digital modeling, and continuous research into emerging construction methods and materials. \n

Must-Have Qualifications

\n

  • Demonstrated proficiency and hands-on experience with 3D printing technologies, particularly in an apparel or textile context.
\n* Solid understanding of pattern making and various apparel manufacturing methodologies.
\n* Comprehensive knowledge of apparel construction techniques and material properties.
\n* Strong foundational understanding of apparel design and development processes.
\n* Basic pattern knowledge, enabling effective translation of designs.
\n* Proficiency with design and modeling software, including general 3D modeling software, and tools like Adobe Illustrator. Experience with organizational tools such as Outlook is also beneficial.
\n* Exceptional organizational skills, effective time management, and meticulous attention to detail.
\n* Ability to competently operate a variety of industrial sewing equipment. \n
