\nRegistered Nurse - PCU
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with 3x12 schedule (4x12s available upon request)
\n• Up to 52 weeks available by request
\n• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 (goal ratio is 4:1, but consistently work at 5:1 ratio)
\n• Weekend requirement of either every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
\n• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
\n• EPIC charting experience required
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
\n• Post heart surgery experience required for Open Heart/Thoracic PCU position
\n• Floating required within skillset to other PCU or medical-surgical level units
\n• Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
\n• Manage IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care
\n• Administer and manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, low-dose dopamine/dobutamine, Amiodarone, Nitro, Bumex, and Lasix (no titration)
\n• Provide respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen delivery, and non-invasive airway management
\n• Care for adult and geriatric patients in a 25-bed unit serving as the Open Heart/Thoracic ICU's PCU/Stepdown unit
\n• Work with remote telemetry monitoring and tele sitting implementation
\n• 32-hour orientation period required
\n• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required

The hospital is Magnet-designated for nursing excellence and affiliated with a prominent medical school. It features advanced specialty care, a dedicated children's hospital, and is certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.
