• Location: Holyoke, Massachusetts (01040) – Located in the scenic Pioneer Valley, close to outdoor recreation and cultural attractions\n
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing\n
• Unit: Adolescent Psychiatric Unit\n
• Schedule: Full-time, 8-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM), every other weekend and holiday required\n
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week\n
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/17/2025 – End: 2/16/2026)\n
• Openings: 3 Psychiatric RN positions available\n
• On-Call: No call required\n
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2100 - $2250\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts\n
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience (adolescent mental health preferred)\n
• CPR certification required\n
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred\n
• Experience with restraint reduction, de-escalation, and crisis intervention preferred\n
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills\n
• Ability to float to similar or lower acuity behavioral health units\n
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems\n

\n\nPsychiatric Nurse Responsibilities\n

\n
• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to adolescent psychiatric patients and their families/legal guardians\n
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment in accordance with behavioral health and psychiatric nursing standards\n
• Participate actively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team\n
• Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans and nursing interventions\n
• Serve as charge nurse as needed (charge nurse duties included in standard rate)\n
• Utilize trauma-informed care, recovery models, and evidence-based psychiatric nursing practices\n
• Demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and professionalism in crisis situations\n
• Build therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries\n
