Position Overview

Community Health Network is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join their OB unit (LDRP model, Level 3). Nurses will support high-risk/antepartum patients and provide comprehensive obstetric care including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.

Requirements

• Experience: 2 years Labor & Delivery
• Must be able to circulate own C-section.
• Certifications (Required): BLS, NRP.
• Certifications (Preferred): ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate.
• Charting: Epic preferred.
• Locals: Not accepted (must live 50+ miles from all CHN facilities).

Unit Details

• Beds/Rooms: 60
• Daily Census: 41 mothers, 32 babies
• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults
• Weekend Coverage: Every 3rd weekend
• Float: Rare, to NICU as helping hands only
• Holiday Coverage: Required (major holidays observed)
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Scrub Color: Seal Blue

Skills

• Fetal monitoring (including abnormal heart rate recognition)
• Circulating for C-section and assisting vaginal delivery
• Antepartum triage and care
• Postpartum care (vaginal and cesarean)
• IV therapy and phlebotomy
• Isolation precautions/PPE use

Pay & Benefits

• OT Multiplier: 1.35x after 40 hours/week
• Holiday/Callback: 1.5x
• Charge Nurse Differential: +$5/hour
• Parking: Free

Facility Support Services

• IV teams, respiratory, PT, social services, lift teams, RRT, pharmacy, radiology, interpretation, transportation.
