Job Title: Sr Java-Cloud Software Engineer
Location: 100% onsite in Irvine, CA
Employment Type: Direct-hire
Compensation: $150,000 to 190,000 (based on level of experience) .

Are you excited by the challenge of building scalable, high-performance cloud systems? Do you have a passion for backend development and architecting secure, modern applications? We're partnered with a client who is looking for a Senior Cloud-Backend Software Engineer to join the team and play a key role in developing and maintaining our backend cloud infrastructure.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Java-Cloud Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing reliable backend services that power cloud-native applications. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to build systems that are not only scalable and performant but also secure and maintainable.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using cloud-native architectures.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and other teams for smooth integration and delivery.
• Strong experience in servicing Cloud (AWS, Azure, and/or OCI).
• Continuously optimize backend systems for scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Apply best practices in application security and data protection.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Automate infrastructure and deployment using modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Debug and resolve complex system issues across services and deployments.
• Lead and participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members.
• Stay current with the latest trends in cloud technologies and backend development.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in backend development for cloud-based systems.
• Deep understanding of building scalable, secure, and highly available applications.
• Proficient in Java and backend software architecture.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud (OCI).
• Experience working with cloud-based databases (e.g., relational and NoSQL).
• Skilled in containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiar with microservices, RESTful APIs, and message queue systems.
• Solid grasp of cloud security best practices.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and analytical skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with DevOps principles and tooling.
• Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven design.
