Job Description

We are partnering with one of the largest freight brokerage firms in the U.S. The team is looking for a Solutions Architect to join the group ASAP.

The position is contract/contract to hire, with the original contract duration at 8-12 months. The role is Hybrid, offering 40 hours of remote work PER MONTH, the rest of your time will be in their Charlotte, NC office.

The team is currently making enhancements to their mobile application whilst a back end team is undergoing a large modernization effort between now and 2027. Your role will be to support both groups, with 70% of your time being spent on the modernization project.

Tech Stack: C#, .NET, React, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka

Responsibilities

• Write up architectural requirements and present to the wider team
• Lead architecture initiatives from inception to completion
• Engineering upskilling of junior, mid and senior level engineers
• Participate in scrum meetings with development teams to help unblock and move the projects forward
• Collaborate with business users to create architecture in alignment with business need
• Act as a technical subject matter expert for business users
• Champion the adoption of reusable architecture assets to improve efficiency
• Produce documentation to aid in the understanding of existing architecture solutions

Qualifications

• 10+ years' of relevant experience
• Extensive background in C#/.NET
• Solid understanding of JavaScript, Docker, Kubernetes
• Proven track record of having an impact on modernization projects
• Advanced knowledge of leading architecture solutions through completion
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Ability to demonstrate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
