Job Description

Join our Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS) Meals team as a part-time site coordinator.

This position serves at Community Dining Center locations, offering people well-balanced, great tasting and affordable meals in a friendly community atmosphere. Plus, this person will package home-delivered meals for our LSS Meals on Wheels service.

The site coordinator will represent LSS as the provider of LSS Meals by serving as the first point of contact for customer relations, following up on concerns, and creating a climate of support for the service in the community.

This position will require data entry, coordinate delivery of meals through volunteer scheduling and delivery in-person, with mileage reimbursement. This position will also engage with diners and volunteers to promote a welcoming and inviting atmosphere.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 
  

  6-months–one year minimum or equivalent full-time experience in group leadership activities and working with older adults in host/hostess role or comparable food service experience.

  Must be able to read and follow verbal instructions.



• 
  

  Basic computer experience preferred.



• 
  

  Must possess creativity and knowledge of public relations to create a positive image of the organization.



• 
  

  Must have a valid driver’s license.



• 
  

  Willingness to grow and adapt to program needs.
