Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced  Senior Associate to join our Tax, Audit and Advisory team. This role requires a hands-on professional who can manage moderately complex audit and tax engagements, interface directly with clients, and support the development of staff through coaching and collaboration.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy both  independent work and cross-functional teamwork , and who thrive in an environment that combines  remote flexibility with on-site client engagement .

Key Responsibilities Audit & Assurance

• Lead and support the full lifecycle of audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up.
• Independently manage portions of audits, demonstrating technical competency and efficiency.
• Perform financial statement preparation, substantive testing, and internal control evaluation.
• Develop audit documentation, workpapers, and client deliverables using PPC Practice Aids.
• Engage clients to resolve audit issues, provide insights, and strengthen the audit relationship.
• Assist in quality control, risk assessments, and continuous improvement of audit processes.

Tax Compliance

• Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities.
• Support tax planning and research efforts as part of broader advisory work.

Client Service & Team Leadership

• Cultivate strong client relationships through proactive communication and service excellence.
• Mentor junior staff, provide coaching and technical support, and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Embrace a dynamic work environment with occasional regional travel.

Qualifications & Experience

• 2–3 years of experience in public accounting, with demonstrated audit experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, audit methodology, and risk-based audit approaches.
• Experience with nonprofit and government audits preferred.
• Technologically adept; enthusiasm for cloud-based systems and tech-forward processes.
• Proficient in:
• CCH Tax applications
• QuickBooks
• Microsoft Office Suite
• PPC Practice Aids (SMART Practice Aids preferred)
• Proven ability to work under deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and produce high-quality deliverables.
