Security Officer - Armed Government Driver

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Driver in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This armed and driving position involves conducting routine patrols, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining strong communication. Pay Rate: $25.34 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Monday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Tuesday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Friday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Saturday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Sunday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.

Monitor for and report any security-related hazards or unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.

Maintain a visible armed presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to staff, visitors, and the general public.

Collaborate with local authorities and/or emergency services as needed during critical incidents or emergencies.

Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and the client site.

Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.

An armed guard card or license is required.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
