Scale House Operator Peace River Citrus Products Arcadia, FL SUMMARY: This position will efficiently and accurately process shipments inbound and outbound. Enter orders into computer system, prepare manifests and all paperwork for a proper shipment. Provide exceptional customer service to drivers and customers, both internal and external. Responsibilities and Duties: Input Bill of Lading. Apply Seal(s) to drum containers and tankers, give placards to hazardous material loads, along with SDS sheets when needed. Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate shipments. Communicate with customers and truck drivers. Maintain housekeeping and general maintenance of scale house area. Keep supervisor up to date on shipments. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to speak and read English to communicate with others. Bilingual a plus. Ability to operate computer. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. High level of attentiveness and be detail orientated in a fast paced work environment. Ability to work long hours and multiple shifts.
