Position Overview

The Forklift Operator for Pallet Repair is responsible for safely moving materials throughout the facility, loading and unloading trucks, and repairing wooden pallets using hand and power tools. This role combines forklift operation with hands-on physical labor to support efficient workflow, maintain inventory, and ensure high-quality pallet refurbishing. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment. Shift is 7am-3:30pm.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move pallets, lumber, and materials within the facility.

· Load and unload trailers, ensuring accurate counts and proper stacking methods.

· Inspect, repair, and refurbish damaged wooden pallets using tools such as nail guns, crowbars, saws, and hammers.

· Sort pallets by size, grade, and repair needs to support production flow.

· Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any issues immediately.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

· Follow all OSHA safety standards, facility procedures, and quality guidelines.

· Meet daily/weekly production goals while maintaining accuracy and safety.

· Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

· Previous experience as a forklift operator (certification preferred).

· Experience in pallet repair, carpentry, construction, or similar physical labor is a plus.

· Ability to use hand and power tools safely (nail guns, saws, hammers, pry bars).

· Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive physical tasks.

· Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
