You will be instrumental in migrating experiences to a modern platform, leveraging interaction design best practices and design heuristics, while optimizing for the customer experience. This role involves leading innovation in tax preparation and collaborating cross-functionally Responsibilities Apply design thinking to reimagine the way customers do their taxes and deliver innovative, end-to-end user experiences that optimize across user needs, business goals, and technological realities. Leverage multi-platform design systems to create cohesive customer experiences and drive progress. Employ modularization, content strategy, and design principles to create scalable solutions. Use both qualitative and quantitative data to make decisions and advocate for customer experience. Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to deliver delightful user designs. Transform complex tax concepts and workflows into clear and compelling designs that innovate. Communicate designs effectively to leaders, partners, and customers. Use mastery of design thinking and facilitation to both define and activate strategic intent throughout the design process. Be willing to develop familiarity with tax law and compliance requirements through self-directed learning and by leveraging available resources. Qualifications ~5+ years’ experience in product design, system design, design-thinking, systems strategy, or related fields. ~ Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or relevant field; Master’s preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. ~ Mastery at mobile native first design, and well-versed in adaptive web design. ~ Deep knowledge of design principles and methods. ~ Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. ~ Highly collaborative team spirit able to take in multiple points of view, synthesize decisions, and communicate outcomes across the organization. ~ Artistry and excellence in simplifying complex ideas, identifying risks and dependencies, and delivering for customers within the constraints of technology. ~ Expertise conveying ideas and solutions through storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping. ~ Practical design experience that shows strong ownership of or significant contribution to an existing product that impacts millions of customers. ~ Mastery of design tools such as Figma, Sketch, XD. ~ An updated online portfolio. ~3+ years experience with consumer and mobile products. Bonus: Portfolio or demonstrated experience in designing for AI and/or generative AI applications.
