**Responsibilities** The Acute Care Therapy Department at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center provides the evaluation and treatment of patients with a wide variety of diagnoses in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding medical setting. Our Therapists are critical members of a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to achieving optimal outcomes for our patients. We are committed to teamwork and collaboration; our participation in interdisciplinary patient rounding occurs daily on a number of units throughout the facility providing therapy professionals to work autonomously. Expectations: + Provides patient care, including evaluating the patient for treatment, providing and directing administration of the care plan upon the referral from the physician. + Consults with other health care disciplines to coordinate therapeutic programs and discharge planning for individual patients. + Instructs patients and caregivers in home program exercises and functional activities. + Assists with patient program management, while delivering quality patient services.
