PART TIME PSYCHIATRY OFFICE FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSITION HAS SPECIFIC REQUIREMENT HOURS WHICH ARE FROM 830AM TO 3PM MONDAY THRU FRIDAY

Front Desk Receptionist and Billing Assistant For Medical Office- An Amazing opportunity exists for an enthusiastic/dynamic and forward thinker who enjoys working in a vibrant growing Psychiatric/Wellness practice with all its systems and procedures in place. We are looking for the right person to lead our reception staff and undertake the following duties:

Reception duties - meeting and greeting of patients, scheduling of patients, calling and follow up with patients, working with the Billing and Collections department on a daily basis to assist with posting, verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations . Filing, faxing, and other office duties as needed.

Primary responsibilities are, but not limited to:

Must have knowledge of medical front desk, insurance verification, billing and coding knowledge a plus.

  • Providing a safe and therapeutic environment for daily patients.
  • Effectively interacts with patients, families, physicians and other healthcare workers.
  • Participate in insurance authorization process, track visits, & schedule patient appointments.
  • Demonstrate a high level of flexibility to meet patient needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records using EMRs and other databases
  • Provide educational consultations to interested patients.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Office administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, assisting with research data collection and documentation, scheduling appointments, managing leads, reporting statistical activity to center manager, collecting copays and handling all medical records in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations
  • Maintain spreadsheet of treatments with start dates, authorizations, etc.
  • Must react calmly in emergency situations and make appropriate and timely decisions.
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must have some medical office experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

AA or Bachelor's degree Preferred

  • MUST HAVE Health care or mental health care experience working with patients at a front desk.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EMR/EHR Systems.
  • CPR/AED certified

This position also entails working directly with the CEO with other office duties such as filing, data entry, and accounts payable.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSITION HAS SPECIFIC REQUIREMENT HOURS WHICH ARE FROM 2PM TO CLOSING ( WHICH VARIES BETWEEN 7PM-8PM) DAILY AND SATURDAYS FROM 830AM-1PM .

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour BASED ON EXPERIENCE.
