Painter Position

SBM Management is hiring a Painter! The Painter is responsible for applying coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel or lacquer to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces, trimmings and fixtures of buildings or other structures. The ideal candidate will be dependable and organized and will consistently produce quality work while following safety guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting (ie: remove old paint, fill holes and cracks, smooth surfaces, clean surfaces with mildew remover)
• Take precautionary measures to protect other surfaces (ie: remove fixtures, lay drop cloths, tape baseboards and door frames)
• Select premixed paint or mix paint to match specified colors
• Apply paint with brushes, spray gun or rollers
• Create various textured effects (ie: wood grain, marble, etc)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required (or equivalent training/experience)
• Commercial painting experience preferred

Shifts: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Compensation: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
