Tallahassee State College is excited to announce a part-time opening for the position of OPS Library Assistant in Ghazvini Library, Ghazvini Center for Healthcare Education. Were looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant campus community.

What Youll Do
As OPS Library Assistant , the day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Provides excellent customer service to TSC students, faculty, staff, and the community at the TSC Ghazvini Library located in the Ghazvini Center for Healthcare Education

• Provides directional assistance to resources across the college in person and over the phone

• Charges and dischargers library materials using the ALMA Library management system

• Assists with technology issues, such as printing.

• Maintains library collections, including shelving, straightening, shelf reading, shifting, and cleaning.

• Maintains Ghazvini Library social media posts and displays.

• Closes the library daily.

• Enters data in daily.

• Performs other duties, as assigned.

Successful Candidates will:

• Be able to work independently

• Have good interpersonal relationship skills

• Have good oral and written communication skills

• Have strong technical proficiency or be able to quickly adapt to new tools and technologies.

Who Were Looking For
Were seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have:

• Associates degree; or High school diploma or its equivalent

• Two years of sub-professional related experience. Library experience preferred. Knowledge or experience in healthcare preferred.

• Must be able to work the hours of M-F 12:30pm-4:30pm

• Must be able to work at satellite location during the year: Ghazvini Library, Ghazvini Center for Healthcare Education - 1528 Surgeons Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32308 and Main Campus library during the summer.
