Position Overview:
We are Boeing Materials & Process Engineering: Boeing Commercial Airplane's global research and development team creating and implementing innovative technologies that make the impossible possible and enabling the future of aerospace. We are engineers and technicians, skilled scientists and bold innovators.
This specific position is for a Materials and Processes (M&P) Engineer focused on Paints, Coatings, and Sealing support to airplanes in Everett, Washington. The position provides materials and process application support to 767 and 777 manufacturing locations throughout Everett site.
Responsibilities to include:
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, materials science, physics or chemistry. Master’s degree preferred.
5+ years’ experience in Engineering and Manufacturing environment
Strong proficiency interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Excellent interpersonal communication and ability to perform effectively in a team environment
Experience using measurement and test equipment
Experience with aerospace or automotive finishes, coatings, sealants

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment (aerospace strongly preferred)
Knowledge of aircraft fuels and lubricants (e.g., greases or dry film)
Knowledge of organic chemical processes (such as top-coating, priming, surface cleaning)
Knowledge of material processing for sealants and finishes processing (e.g., plating, painting, surface preparation, fay surface sealing, fillet sealing

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for Mid-Level (level 3): $114,750 - $155,250
Summary pay range for Senior-Level (level 4): $138,550 - $187,450
