Stage Manager (Contract – $100/day)
Organization: TechArts Empowerment Foundation
Location: Los Angeles County (various parks, libraries, and community centers)
Schedule: As needed — typically weekends or weekday afternoons
Compensation: $100 per workshop day

Our Mobile STEM Academy brings hands-on learning in robotics, coding, and digital creativity directly to neighborhoods across Los Angeles County — from Inglewood to Compton, Watts to Hawthorne — transforming local parks and libraries into pop-up innovation hubs.
TechArts proudly serves Black, Latinx, LGBTQ+, and economically disadvantaged youth , helping all students see themselves as creators, innovators, and future leaders in technology.
About the Role
We’re looking for a dependable and organized Stage Manager to handle the behind-the-scenes setup that makes our workshops possible. You’ll transport TechArts equipment to event sites, manage setup and teardown with the support of volunteers, and ensure that everything runs smoothly and returns safely to our headquarters.
This is a hands-on logistics role perfect for someone who enjoys meaningful, community-centered work and takes pride in creating professional, high-quality experiences for others.
Key Responsibilities
Liaise with the Operations Manager regarding logistics and scheduling
Arrange U-Haul bookings when needed
Transport equipment, materials, and supplies to and from event sites
Manage setup and teardown with volunteer assistance
Maintain and check equipment inventory
Keep storage organized and report any losses or damages
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (required)
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Experience in logistics, event setup, or production a plus
Commitment to inclusion and community empowerment
