Optomi , in partnership with an industry-leading provider in the automotive and telecommunications space, is seeking a Mobile QA Tester to join a dynamic team in Plano, TX , focused on delivering high-quality mobile and in-vehicle communication solutions. What the Right Professional Will Enjoy: Collaborating in a fast-paced, innovative environment with cutting-edge automotive and mobile technologies Contributing to transformative projects integrating cloud-based services with vehicle systems Hybrid work flexibility with opportunities to work alongside global technology teams Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive testing on iOS and Android mobile platforms, vehicle head-units, and communication systems Collect and analyze logs to identify and troubleshoot issues in vehicle and mobile ecosystems Utilize Jira and Confluence for test case documentation, defect tracking, and dashboard reporting Apply BDD and TDD frameworks to ensure robust enterprise-level QA processes Conduct impact analysis and develop scenario storyboards to validate system functionality Test REST and gRPC APIs hosted on cloud platforms ( AWS , GCP , Azure ) Validate authentication mechanisms, including SSL authentication and MQTT (preferred) Perform testing on in-car network protocols such as CAN and MOST (preferred) Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum (software) and Waterfall (vehicle manufacturing) development cycles Leverage strong problem-solving skills, applying knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis to resolve issues Apply Today If Your Background Includes: Extensive experience in log collection and debugging for vehicle head-units , communication systems , and iOS/Android platforms Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for dashboarding and documentation Hands-on experience with enterprise QA frameworks ( BDD , TDD ) Strong skills in impact analysis and scenario storyboarding Deep understanding of algorithms , data structures , and complexity analysis for problem-solving Experience working in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall development methodologies Proven expertise in testing REST and gRPC microservices hosted on cloud platforms ( AWS , GCP , Azure ) Solid knowledge of authentication types, SSL authentication , and experience with MQTT (a plus) Familiarity with in-car network protocol testing ( CAN , MOST ) (a plus) Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Contract Job function Job function Quality Assurance and Information Technology Industries Technology, Information and Media, Information Services, and Motor Vehicle Manufacturing Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Optomi by 2x Inferred from the description for this job Medical insurance Vision insurance Get notified when a new job is posted.
