We’re looking for a Membership & Community Programs Manager to join our team! This position is responsible for the management and coordination of program delivery and support services which leads to retention and increase of membership.

 

Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours per week) with flexibility                       Salary Range: $23.00 - $25.60 hourly DOE, nonexempt

  • Are excited to be actively involved in giving girls the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values to become leaders in their own lives and their communities.

 

Interested? Responsibilities would include: 

  • Recruits, hires, trains and supervises a team of staff that provides efficient and effective programming in the assigned area.
  • Assists in developing and implementing a proactive recruitment and retention strategy to increase adult volunteers who reflect the diversity of the area served.
  • Oversees the implementation and consistency of effective and culturally relevant programming in assigned focus communities 
  • Cultivates and maintains community relationships (i.e. schools, parent organizations, community centers) to identify and support program partnerships, research community resources, and promote the image of Girl Scouting. 
  • Ensures Girl Scouting is open to all girls and adults by delivering the Girl Scout message of belonging to community groups, organizations, and other constituencies within the council area.
  • Research market data to become knowledgeable about external community needs and possibilities for girl recruitment and potential partnerships. 
  • Actively participates in the development of environments that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and access through words, actions, and attitude.

 

Are these skills and experience you could share with our team?

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week; weekends and evenings required.
  • Strong communication skills—listening as well as written & verbal communication—and ability to communicate with persons of diverse backgrounds.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years related work experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to cultivate, motivate and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.  Frequent travel within the Council area is required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
