Pride Health is hiring a Medical Lab Technician V to support our client’s medical facility based in Nashville, TN 37236 . This is a 10-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Title: Medical Lab Technician V
Location: Nashville, TN 37236
Pay Range: $35.66- $38 per hour
Schedule: Monday- Friday rotating every 3rd weekend. 6am-2:30pm or 10pm-6am
1st and 3rd Shift Available
Duration: 10 Months +
*The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing patient testing for busy Core Lab working Hematology, coagulation, chemistry and urinalysis.
Performing patient testing, bone marrow collection, staining, processing
Hem, Coag, Urine, High volume, supporting mothers and babies, Oncology Floor, Dispatch or accessioning, a little Micro and respiratory testing
Education:
Prefer bachelor’s would take MLT
ASCP or AMT
LIS - Cerner Pathnet
-Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science
OR
-BS in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science from an accredited college or university WITH
at least 1 year of training or experience in specialty in
which testing will be performed. Such training must be equivalent to that received in a school
of Medical Technology.
OR
-90 Semester hours from an accredited institution that include the following: 16 semesters
hours of Biology courses, 16 Semester hours of chemistry [must include at least 6 hours of
inorganic Chemistry], and 3 Semester hours of Math- along with having completed an
accredited Clinical Laboratory training program or 1 year of documented Clinical Laboratory
Training, or experience in the specialty that testing is to be performed.
OR
-Associate’s degree in medical technology.
