Job Description

Do you love to travel, explore new cities, and work independently? Join a high-energy team that’s making a nationwide impact on energy efficiency—one lighting system at a time.

As a Lighting Assessment Specialist, you’ll hit the road (and the skies) to visit major retail, commercial, and industrial sites across the country. Your mission: assess and document lighting systems, gather critical data, and support our energy-saving retrofit projects. You’ll work with cutting-edge tools and be a vital part of a team that’s helping businesses modernize, reduce energy consumption, and lower their carbon footprint.

This is a dynamic, travel-intensive role—expect to fly out Monday morning and return Friday, visiting multiple sites weekly. Ideal for someone organized, self-driven, and ready to take their career on the road.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct on-site lighting and energy usage audits for commercial and industrial facilities
  • Use spreadsheets, tools, and templates to collect, analyze, and report lighting data
  • Communicate findings with sales and project management teams to ensure accurate solutions
  • Coordinate and schedule your own travel and audit trips—airfare, hotels, rental cars
  • Maintain up-to-date audit statuses in project tracking systems
  • Carry and use portable ladders and tools to gather data (interior and exterior)
  • Manage travel expenses and utilize personal credit (reimbursed weekly)

What We’re Looking For:

  • A love for travel (up to 90%) and being on the move
  • Independent, organized, and detail-oriented mindset
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic tech tools
  • Ability to climb ladders, walk job sites, and carry equipment
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required—recent grads and career changers welcome
  • Must live near a major airport and have a valid driver’s license

What You’ll Get:

  • $ 45, 000 - $50,000 base salary + quarterly performance bonuses
  • Per diem—yours to keep if you spend less
  • All travel points and perks are yours to keep
  • 3 weeks PTO, 8 paid holidays, 401(k) match, health/dental/vision plans
  • Hands-on training and mentorship
  • A chance to grow with a company that promotes from within

This roles offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, and 401(k) The salary range for this type of role is $45,000 - $ 50,000 annually with bonus opportunities. This range is an estimate and not a guarantee of compensation. The final salary will be determined by factors such as experience, market trends, and specific job assignments.
