Job Title: PRN Home Infusion Nurse

Job Summary

LZ Cares Healthcare and Nursing seeks a skilled and compassionate PRN Per Diem Home Infusion Nurse to provide high-quality infusion therapy to patients in their homes. This role offers flexibility and competitive pay, ideal for experienced nurses seeking per diem work. The nurse will deliver safe, effective care, ensuring patient comfort and compliance with LZ Cares Healthcare’s policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ conditions and needs prior to initiating infusion therapy.
• Administer intravenous (IV) medications like IVIG, Biologics (inflectra, remicade, soliris), fluids as prescribed
• Monitor patients during infusions for adverse reactions, adjusting care as necessary.
• Educate patients and families on infusion therapy, medication management, and care plans.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using infusion pumps and related equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in client records.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for infusion therapy, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, specialty pharmacies, and stakeholders.
• Adhere to LZ Cares Healthcare policies, procedures, and Texas state regulations.
• Work independently, managing time
• Travel to various patient locations as required, using reliable transportation. effectively to meet patient needs.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in infusion therapy or a related field.
• Certification in infusion therapy (e.g., Certified Registered Nurse Infusion, CRNI) preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of infusion therapy best practices, including aseptic technique.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and family interactions.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a home care setting.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patients’ homes.
• Physical ability to lift and move infusion equipment as needed.
• Proof of professional liability insurance coverage required.

Pay Rate and Employment Type

• Pay Rate: $55/hour to $65/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
• Mileage Reimbursement at state rate 
• Employment Type: 1099 contractor position.
