We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive individual to join our team at our
Brown & Church location in Pilot Mountain, NC. Brown & Church, a division of Tom James Company, is an American-made neckwear company that produces ties, bow ties, and pocket squares by hand in North Carolina. Established in 1976, the company has a history that includes the legacy of classic neckwear brands like Keys & Lockwood. They emphasize their artisan production, high-quality materials, and connection to American manufacturing heritage.
We are seeking a
Hand Seamstress team member to support our various hand sew operations. Ideal candidate will consistently contribute to the overall excellence that will meet or exceed customer and team objectives. This person should enjoy working in a production environment, independently, as well as working with other associates in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation to accomplish goals.
Responsibilities - Accurately follow work orders to meet customer / product specifications
- Focus on precision first and then pace
- Quality check work for neat seems and correct stitching
- Ability to identify flaws/variations in different patterns and color identification
- Must be able to handle materials such as cotton, silk, viscose, wool, nylon, etc.
- Work with team members to coordinate work flow and resolve issues
- Keep work area tidy

Essential Skills and Requirements - Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and sit/stand for long periods of time
- Knowledge of different stitches, fabrics, and quality standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paces, production-driven environment
