EHS Manager This high-impact leadership role is responsible for driving both tactical and strategic Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives across five North American sites. The EHS Manager will lead a geographically distributed team and support multiple business units, including labs, chemical hygiene, manufacturing-process risk assessment, employee wellness and health, incident investigations, and field service support. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, capable of bridging conversations from frontline operators to executive leadership. Responsibilities Conduct gap assessments and prioritize EHS improvements within the first 612 months. Lead and mentor a team of EHS Specialists focused on ground-level safety operations. Develop and implement programs for incident investigation, occupational health, biosafety (BSL 1 & 2), and respiratory protection. Support employee health and wellness initiatives across sites. Ensure compliance with OSHA, CSP, and other safety certifications. Respond to and manage public relations crises in a controlled and professional manner. Partner with site leaders to identify safety needs and drive performance-based projects. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree 8+ years of relevant experience OSHA compliance and certification (CSP preferred) Moderate level of chemical and biosafety knowledge Experience with safety programs : incident / accident investigation, occupational health, respiratory protection, biosafety (BSL 1 & 2) Industry experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or FDA-regulated environments Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong leadership skills across distributed teams Effective communication with both frontline staff and executives Crisis management and public relations handling Work Environment The EHS Manager will oversee North American locations and must be based out of Austin, TX. The role involves managing four direct reports stationed in multiple sites : two in Austin, one in Chicago, and one in Cypress. This position requires 25% travel, with airfare covered upfront and other travel expenses reimbursed.
