Underwriting Assistant - Public Entity Summary Assist in the production, marketing, and maintenance of new and renewal business by providing administrative support that is timely, efficient, and representative of the high standards set forth by the team. This support will include preparing proposals, binders and invoices, researching and solving accounting problems, handling agent inquiries, processing policies and endorsements, and following up on outstanding information, etc. This person will be motivated to learn the job, have a customer-focused attitude, and be able to function in a fast-paced environment. Consistently meeting deadlines and prioritizing assignments under the direction of the Underwriter Knowledge & Experience 2-3 years of insurance experience, or a B.A. in insurance or risk management Full understanding and application of concepts, practices and procedures related to insurance Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel Work is performed under immediate to general supervision, following well-defined instructions, policies, and procedures AmWINS Group
