Job Description

We are seeking a Design Engineer to enhance our medical device clients' product development team. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with other engineers to bring products to completion and utilize hands-on technical skills to solve complex engineering challenges. The Design Engineer's contributions will play a pivotal role in driving medical device products to commercialization.

Requirements of the Design Engineer:

• BS in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering
• 5+ years experience in product design and development for medical devices
• Experience with AutoCAD, and Inventor CAD systems

Responsibilities of the Design Engineer:

• Develop new medical devices from concept to commercialization, including product design and prototyping.
• Plan, design, and build prototypes to explore and refine device design possibilities.
• Assist in creating new manufacturing processes to support product development.
• Participate in quality system activities, including design controls, risk management, and design verification & validation.
• Develop and execute test protocols, ensuring thorough product documentation.
• Lead development project sub-teams, ensuring successful completion of project goals.
• Research and integrate new materials and components for existing devices in response to supply chain disruptions or changes.
• Complete engineering change orders (ECOs) to update and revise product design documentation.
• Write, execute, or oversee product testing protocols to validate new materials and/or suppliers.
