Seeking a surgical technologist to serve at Essentia Health's Deer River Hospital in Deer River, Minnesota. This CST works on a casual, as-needed basis, picking up shifts to support our surgical team. Shifts are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. No weekend, holiday, or on-call rotations are required. We’re a Level IV Trauma Center and 20-bed Critical Access Hospital, complete with a 24-hour emergency room and private, hotel-like hospital rooms. We are in the same medical center building as our Deer River Clinic and Essentia Health-Homestead, our long-term care facility.

Education Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.

What You'll Do:

Functions under the supervision of an RN in providing technical interventions in the Operating Room to patients of all ages. They are also responsible for tasks relating to instrumentation, equipment, prosthesis, and supplies. May perform other duties as assigned by the department.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• Certified as a Surgical Technologist within one year of hire.

• AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month of hire.
