Apex has offices nationwide with 5 regional offices located in Quincy MA, Woburn MA, Hyannis MA, Glastonbury CT, and Providence RI. Apex has received over a dozen ACEC/MA Engineering Excellence Awards since 2016. Locally, Apex primarily supports municipal clients with projects relating to:

• Drinking Water
• Wastewater
• Stormwater
• Traffic & Transportation

Work Areas/Positions:  5

• 4 in our Quincy, MA office
  • 3 to support the water/wastewater group
  • 1 to support the transportation group
• 1 in our Woburn, MA office 
  • 1 to support the water/wastewater group

Co-op students typically support a project team with design, permitting, and construction administration activities. Co-op work primarily consists of office work, but may also include a field work component. The type of work and extent of responsibility depends on the aptitude of the student but is also substantially affected by the time of year and current project schedule. Field work may include GPS and/or construction observations.

Job Requirements:

• Valid driver's license.
• Ideally, interested candidates should either be currently enrolled in or have completed the following civil engineering or equivalent courses:
• CIVE 2221. Statics and Solid Mechanics
• CIVE 2260. Materials for the Built Environment
• CIVE 2261. Lab for CIVE 2260
• CIVE 2334. Environmental Engineering: Principles, Technology, and Sustainability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Experience in AutoCAD and GIS mapping software (Esri products) preferred.
• Must possess solid technical and problem-solving skills.
