Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Brooklyn, NY 11203

Setting:

Nursing Home

Shifts Available:

1. Days (6:45 AM 3:15 PM) EOW
2. Evenings (3:00 PM 11:15 PM) EOW
3. Nights (11:00 PM 7:00 AM) EOW (5x8 schedule Every Other Weekend required)

Overview:

Were seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants to join our team in a reputable Brooklyn nursing home. CNAs play a vital role in providing quality care and support to residents while ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Provide routine personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and assisting with hygiene needs.
• Assist patients with meals preparing, feeding, or helping as needed.
• Collect specimens and empty bedpans following safety protocols.
• Safely transfer and position residents using proper techniques and equipment (Hoyer Lift, two-person transfers, etc.).
• Take and record vital signs accurately (temperature, pulse, respirations).
• Perform range-of-motion (ROM) exercises per care plan.
• Assist with ambulation and transport using wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in accordance with policy.
• Uphold infection control standards and adhere to all facility safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active New York State CNA Certification.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification.
• No prior experience required we welcome motivated CNAs ready to grow!

Skills & Requirements:

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift or move patients as needed.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of proper handling of hazardous materials and adherence to safety codes.
