*Position Overview:* We are seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, particularly in the following practice areas:
* *Insurance Law:* Handling coverage opinions, insurance bad faith claims, and general insurance litigation.
* *Complex Tort Litigation:* Defending cases involving catastrophic auto accidents, personal injury, and wrongful death.
* *Oil and Gas Litigation:* Representing clients involved in exploration, drilling, and production of natural resources in New Mexico's Permian Basin.
* *Medical Negligence Defense:* Defending physicians, healthcare providers, clinics, and hospitals against allegations of medical negligence.
* *Assisted Living/Long Term Care:* Representing long-term care facilities and professionals in cases alleging personal injury, abuse/neglect, and wrongful death.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Manage all phases of litigation from inception through trial, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
* Conduct legal research and provide analysis on complex legal issues.
* Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
* Collaborate with partners and other attorneys to develop case strategies.
* Maintain strong client relationships and provide timely updates on case progress.
*Qualifications:*
* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
* Active membership in good standing with the New Mexico State Bar.
* Minimum of 6 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on the practice areas mentioned above.
* Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Commitment to providing high-quality legal representation and client service.
