Responsibilities Job duties will entail management of field staff, completing background research and regulatory reviews, archaeological field investigations and management, and final reporting. Qualified candidates should demonstrate field experience and perform each all stages of investigation from field work to reporting. Established relationships with state and federal review agencies is a plus. Must be knowledgeable of federal, state and local field and reporting standards. Proficiency with GIS software is preferred. Required Skills & Required Experience Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. The qualified candidate will meet Secretary of the Interior's (SOI) standards for archeology. Candidates must have an MA in anthropology, archaeology, and/or closely related discipline. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of experience as a principal investigator with similar years of experience conducting in-field archaeology and writing compliance reports. Candidates must have experience supervising and conducting field surveys in Virginia and the surrounding states. Experience working on electrical transmission projects and familiarity with SCC pre-applications a must. The qualified candidate will possess knowledge and project experience working with applicable federal (Section 106/110 of the National Historic Preservation Act), Virginia DEQ PBR regulations and county level reviews. Candidates must have conducted Phase I and II field investigations and previously authored compliant documentation for state and local level review. Dewberry is seeking a qualified motivated individual who can make independent decisions, carry out a project through completion, and work closely under senior cultural resource staff.
