Nurse Practitioner Womens Health

Location: Charleston, Illinois (Outpatient Clinic Setting)

Schedule: Full-Time | Weekday Hours

A mission-driven outpatient clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join their team, with a strong focus on providing reproductive health care to a patient population, primarily women under the age of 30. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about womens health and community-based care.

Position Overview:

• Conduct client histories and provide counseling and education to both male and female patients
• Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and screening tests based on clinical findings
• Perform Pap smear screenings following ACOG guidelines
• Educate patients on all FDA-approved birth control methods, including abstinence and natural family planning
• Prescribe contraceptives and medications in line with CDC, and manufacturer protocols
• Preferred experience in placing IUDs and Nexplanon implants (training may be available)
• Provide counseling on reproductive health and sexuality and coordinate referrals when needed
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in medical records
• Practice under the APN Collaborative Practice Agreement

Qualifications:

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner
• Experience in womens health (may be as an RN or NP)
• New graduate NPs considered with relevant clinical background
• Commitment to reproductive healthcare access and education

Preferred Skills:

• Nexplanon certification
• Strong communication and patient education abilities
